Re: Pulsed radiofrequense ablation in Europe

I have read on here that Dr Baranowski in London does this procedure but I do not know anything about his results. In the US Dr Wright at Denver Pain Management is the one who had helped a couple of women in the Facebook group. CarolynM can tell you more, she has had this done more than once with go...

That does sound interesting. I am wondering how it is going, although I realize you are still in the middle of treatment. I do hope it works for you!

Re: Any PNE specialists in AL, FL, GA or La?

I do have IC but it is a mild problem for me compared to PN. I have had bladder symptoms off and on my whole adult life but this is nothing like the disabling pain I am in with PN. IC does not cause problems with sitting, not as far as I know. I think going to Dr Fleck is a good idea for you. She is...

Re: Any PNE specialists in AL, FL, GA or La?

Unless you are already a patient you will be unlikely to hear from a doctor by email. At least this has been my experience. It sounds to me like Dr Chad Austin or Dr Vance would be the most likely to help you. What does Ruth Jenkins have to say about your pain? A PT was the first one to suggest to m...

Re: Any PNE specialists in AL, FL, GA or La?

The woman I know who did only get very brief relief from PRF developed PN after bladder surgery, using mesh. I am not sure exactly what her symptoms are though. I do think that all the doctors require a PN block to be done by them first, though. I suspect that the doctors around here who do PRF do i...

Re: Any PNE specialists in AL, FL, GA or La?

Hello again, Yes, Dr Vance is the one who has done PRF on someone I know through the Facebook groups. She says that both times it lasted only 2 weeks. I wish I knew more about Dr Austin in B'ham, but I have never heard of him. He does sound promising though, I am going to see what I can find out. Dr...

Re: Any PNE specialists in AL, FL, GA or La?

Hello Hunter, Dr Yearwood is my personal doctor, although I have only seen him a couple of times because he is actually in Pascagoula, MS which is over an hour drive from where I live. I actually see his NP in Daphne for precriptions and I do like her. She is very willing to listen and does not ques...

Re: Any PNE specialists in AL, FL, GA or La?

The closest actual PN specialists are in Houston. Although Dr Renney and Ansell no longer take new patients, Dr Charles Popeney who is a neurologist still does and he can send you to a group of neuroradiologists who do PN blocks under CT guidance. I also live in south AL and I can tell you about the...

Re: Gabapentin and Cymbalta (duloxetine)

No,this is within the normal limits for a person with PN. The maximum dose is actually 3600mg. You do have to increase very gradually though. I tried to take 800mg three times a day but I could not put up with the brain fog. For example I could not remember things or even talk properly. The words ju...
