Re: Omega 3 and Curcumin For Nerve Repair - Journal Article

I used to take Omega 3 for intestinal inflammation, didn't know it has an effect on nerve repair too. I'll resume taking it. A nutrition nugget that I recall, modern day diets have a much higher Omega 6: Omega 3 fatty acid ratio than is recommended. Excessive Omega 6 can lead to many diseases, infla...

Re: cushion ideas

I made a cushion at home that works okay for my pain, with the idea it should take pressure off the anal region and also reduce it around the ischial tuberosities (where pressure tends to be maximum naturally when one sits, the red points in the graph http://www.tipna.org/faq/SittingPressureDistribu...

Re: Add India to the worldwide group

Thanks moderators for adding this section. Should make it much easier for new patients from India and nearby coming to the website. :) Pudendal awareness is still low here but there are some resources which patients can use, and with time things will improve hopefully!

Re: An amitriptyline cream is in the market, benefiting me

hi mike ask your doctor if the cream would be good in your case. you can email me if you want it garth17@gmail.com. if you have entrapment its better to treat the underlying, getting rid of the entrapment. the cream should work for close to the surface nerve pain, commonsensically speaking. Though i...

Re: Add India to the worldwide group

It would be great to have an India section! I could find names of docs/practitioners scattered over the website, much better to have them at one place and we can give feedbacks on them as well. Thanks Sunil for asking for this. Few more names I'd like to add: 1) Dr. Shrenik Shah in Ahmedabad does ES...

Re: Add India to the worldwide group

Few more names I'd like to add: 1) Dr. Shrenik Shah in Ahmedabad does ESWT for musculoskeletal problems. I haven't been to him, just know his website. I didn't find any pelvic protocol there like Dr Kirk Andrew has (heard him on the pelvic messenger, made lots of sense to me) but Dr. Shah might be a...

Re: An amitriptyline cream is in the market, benefiting me

Alan1646 - If you felt better with the cream, maybe you should keep using it. From what I understood from the study of Mary Lynch, only after good amount of use at least 6 months it brings long-term relief. When I had mailed Dr Lynch she said use it for 2 weeks and you'll get to know if it works for...

Re: An amitriptyline cream is in the market, benefiting me

I'm logging in after many many days. Year end pressure at work. White falcon - The cream's literature says its meant for peripheral neuropathies and for external use only. I never felt any burning or any other sensation when I use it. Maybe it is a guy/girl thing or the ketamine as Laura said which ...

Re: An amitriptyline cream is in the market, benefiting me

I heard from somebody there is a company called Epicept that is doing clinical trials (now Phase III) for a cream called Amiket (4% amitriptyline / 2% ketamine) for peripheral neuropathic pain. And they have filed for fast track designation with US FDA. http://ceplenecom.siteprotect.net/epicept/prod...
