Re: Has anyone been told to sit down MORE to cure PN?

Hi Laura - getting there. Just waiting for the results of my hip arthrogram. As soon as I know the result I'll post it in the case updates section. How are you doing? Have you thought about posting in the case updates section? I'd love to learn how you are getting on. :-)

Re: Jaw and PN

Hmm this is interesting. I have had PN off and on for almost five years and I'm about to have jaw surgery for a misalignment. My jaw has never hurt, it's just that the bottom jaw is apparently 8mm out of sync with the top jaw, and so I'll be having it corrected - quite an intense operation. I have n...

Re: cushion ideas

I have found the best cushions to be U-shaped cushions that are originally intended as neck cushions. Cushions like this for example:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neck-Cushtie-Your-Personal-Pillow/dp/B000XCUWR6/ref=pd_sim_kh_2 These have been the most practical for me, but because they're not designed t...

Re: Has anyone been told to sit down MORE to cure PN?

Hello Clare. I'm quite sure that in some instances sitting can be therapeutic rather than problematic, particularly in respect of PN. I personally have also found that accidental extended sitting has been a relief, especially to the pelvic muscles. My original PT told me that abstaining from sitting...

Re: Snap, pop, cracking sound !!!! What do they mean?

Hi Sunil,

Do you drink much caffeine at all?

The reason I ask is because I am also prone to bouts of anxiety. Last year in February, I finally got around to giving up caffeine for good, and most of my anxiety just simply disappeared; life was a lot more tranquil on a neurochemical level.

Re: My Dr.Potter MRN. Any Thoughts?

That's really interesting Redz. Do you have any information as to the course of treatment? From what I can "gather" from research on this site and beyond, neural abutting tends to be easier to treat than neural entrapment? I myself haven't had an MRN (or even an MRI) but I wonder if my sit...

Re: Castor Oil

Hi Dave, I don't have any specific links but I'd imagine just doing a Google search for "castor oil muscle relaxant" should fire up some results. Castor Oil is a pretty infamous laxative used since the olden times.....and taken orally can, literally, flush out everything. Personally I don'...

Re: Dental Work

Thanks Amanda! Yes it's certainly one obstacle out of the way. The "big one" is going to be later this year...October/November-ish, but I'm just going to take it one step at a time...and hopefully should be just as easy as the others...! :geek:

Re: Dental Work

Thanks Helen! Well - I survived it! 8-)

Actually it was pretty easy. The dental chairs do indeed go right back and I may as well have been lying down. :geek:

I'm soooo glad now that I didn't cancel/postpone!
