Re: scrambler therapy

Patty I appreciate your response to my post. I also wonder if it is not a real treatment. Johns Hopkins in Baltimore is doing clinical trials with cancer patients. Some will get the real thing " calma rx" therapy and some will get "sham therapy". It will be interesting to see if ...

scrambler therapy

Has anyone heard of "scrambler" therapy? I just learned about it yesterday. A physician , Dr. Stephen D'Amato, in R.I. went to Italy to study this therapy that works to scramble pain messages the brain receives. It is used to treat neuropathy from chemo for cancer but he has used it for a ...

Re: cushions and "cushion your assets"

Try cushionyourassets.com That is their web address. The owner has actually posted on this topic and is a pudendal patient herself. I just checked and the website is up and running. I have 2 cushions and would not be able to sit at all without using one. I have the "twin cheeks" cushions. ...

Re: Great seat cushion

Kathy, I also take Miralax daily and stool softener 2 of the 100mg. gels daily (without laxative) for constipation in addition to the Lactulose. How much Lactulose are you taking? I take 30ml 3x a day. That means 2 tbsp 3 times a day. It is very sweet and I brush my teeth afterwards. The store brand...

Re: Great seat cushion

I am sorry you are so uncomfortable, Kathy. I have my good days and my bad days. My pain is usually burning like having a fire up my anal area. Sometimes I have soreness and it feels like a toothache but mostly my pain is burning, especially after a bowel movement. I do use fentanyl patches and oxyc...

Has anyone had a colonoscopy with anal PN?

Has anyone had had a colonoscopy with anal PN? I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy in 4 weeks I am 66 years old and I worry about increased anal pain with the prep and post procedure. My great seat cushion will not help with the prep. (A little humor always helps. :D ) I have had several kinds of c...

Re: Great seat cushion

Sorry it took me so long to reply. The medications I referred to were Lyrica and Lactulose. Lactulose is great for my constipation due to other meds. I don't have to push hard anymore. Lyrica was good for nerve pain (in my anal area) but became too expensive for me when I started on Medicare Part D....

Re: Cusion seat

To Trudy, I love your twin cheeks cushion for my anal pudendal neuralgia. I like that you can spread the cushions as far apart as you need and secure them with velcro. Please don't be discouraged and decide to stop making them. Before I tried the twin cheeks I was desperate but now I can do some nor...

Re: Great seat cushion

I bought a pillow from "cushion your assets.com" and it is wonderful. It was expensive but worth every penny. I have pudendal neuralgia in my anal area and the pillow is like 2 pontoons with space in the middle for my "assets." With the pillow I can drive again, and sit down in re...
