Recommend anyone in UK thinking of pudendal surgery to read the BBC Papers review website for today. There is an article in the Guardian re concerns about a Bristol surgeon and pelvic surgery. Just to add for the interest or benefit of anyone reading this thread that the doctor has said that i have a Urethral Caruncle or prolapse. She has put me back on the localised HRT oestrogen to try to close the caruncle up.

Thanks Nyt I have had oestrogen pessaries & creams along with pain medication in the past for the vulva pain problem. After over 3 years I stopped using it all as it was getting me nowhere and the cream causing more irritation. i guess i should have continued. I seem to have more stinging sore p...

Thanks Violet and Grace My BMs are okish at the moment but i do wonder if nerves further up are affected and causing a back up somewhere. I am not taking medication at the moment for the vulva pain. Gave up over about 20 months ago to see if it made any difference to pain. So i can't blame any medic...
