Re: I think I have PN
It was mostly one side on the inner thigh when walking but eventually it spread all through the pelvis pretty much all the time with burning. If you think of the vagina as a clock, at about 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock on each side, the pudendal nerve can be pressed on at the ischial spine by an examiner...

Re: Hi all new here- My story so far: PNE as a result of Sexual injury?
IHello Archie, I don't know the best place in Europe to get a pelvic mri. Hopefully a forum member from Europe can tell you. In the US, the Hollis Potter protocol gives some of the best visualization of the nerves but I'm not sure if anyone in Europe uses her protocol. You could check with her offic...

Re: Is PN always one sided?
Just based on my own experience, I did not perfectly meet the Nantes criteria. https://www.pudendalhope.info/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/NantesDiagnosticCriteria.pdf But nerve decompression surgery made me 90% better and I am 100% certain my ligaments were compressing the nerve. So, while I think the...

Re: Opioids in America
That's a good point that the availability of opiods may differ from state to state, and that some doctors are more willing to prescribe opiods than others.
Good luck with PT. Hope it goes well for you.

Re: I think I have PN
I think one of the main reasons for seeing a PT initially is for an evaluation. I was actually diagnosed correctly by a PT when the local doctors had no clue. Whether or not they can help you would depend on what the underlying cause is for your pain. Lots of people masturbate without getting pudend...

Maybe you could call Dr. O'Brien's office and see if they know of anyone in the UK who does NCS or EMG for pelvic pain?

Hi Mari,
Glad to hear the injections are helping. Sounds like pretty dramatic improvement and I hope it continues!

Re: Has anyone had this happen during recovery
I can't blame you for being pessimistic. I was scared after surgery. It is not unusual for months 3 and 4 to be the worst part of recovery as the nerve is waking up. So please hang in there and don't give up hope completely. You've had this for 7 years so it's not going to go away quickly. I wasn't ...
