Our database is at the data center of Bluehost webhosting company. It is a standard phpbb3 mysql database on a unix-box. It is a site that uses PHP as the server language and http between browser and application so it is not encrypted but the information is password protected and the database is saved and protected by Bluehost. The information is retained until deleted by site administrators. The website and the forum database are backed up daily and weekly by Bluehost; however, if a post or thread on the forum is deleted from the main database by the forum administrators or moderators, it is gone permanently. If a post is edited by a forum user or by a moderator, the original post cannot be retrieved.

All website users by default are considered non-medical professionals. The forum is not moderated by physicians. The forum is moderated daily by volunteers.
