ergonomic laptop table

Post by Cora »

just wanted to share this and make a testimonial. you all know how we go through so many products whether to help us with sitting, better computer stations etc. So, I found this today and my husband bought one too. It's a very stable, adjustable ergonomic laptop table. I'm using it in bed right now and it's perfect. So, just wanted to share. Produced by a young start up company in Wisconsin. All price ranges, I bought a more pricey one which was 65. 00 I've included some attachments. hmmm.. i guess you can't insert pdf.s here or at least I don't see how so i'll put in the web site. http://www.uncagedergonomics.com/

Onset PN/PFD/centralized pain in Oct 06 after years of athletics, nursing career and dog training. PT for two years with improvement, now go for tune-ups and pain management. Stopped Cymbalta, was on M.S. Contin, then Kadian, and briefly Methadone for pain management, now off those meds and pain is well managed with Buprenorphine. Followed my pain management specialist.

Cora, are you able to lie down almost flat with yours? The problem I had with lap tables in bed is that I had to sit up slightly in order to see the screen and that put too much pressure on the butt/sacral area.
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

yeah, I was wondering the same thing Violet asked because I have so much sacral pain and can't sometimes even lay on my back. Could you use it if lying on your side you think?
-11/08 vulvodynia began around conception of first & only pregnancy
-3/10 sacral/sitting pain began after SIJD manipulation
-Progressive widespread pain- central sensitization
-PT, meds, injections, botox, ESWT = debilitated.
-5/12 Potter MRI - scarring of left ST, coccygeous & posterior alcock
-12/12 - left FAI/labral hip tear surgery
2014-2019 managed w/ gabapentin, massage, and lifestyle mod
2020 - big flare up

I could have sworn I hit the submit button, but guess I didn't.? This laptop table, was a Christmas present 2009 from my wife's sister. I am blessed to still be able to lie supine. Arms get a workout but I need to keep some muscles

Fell skating 2008. Abnormal PNMLT R perineal branch 12/08. Pudendal block +relief for several hours. Complete recovery, off medications, using cushion after 9 months; re-injured late 2009 doing yardwork. Major flare after injections 2&3 Feb. 2010. No sitting/hyperprotecting since 2/2010 to present. Symptoms gradually better, but not like the first time; still with pain up to 5, but 1-3 most common and 0 while recumbent.

I have a big screen tv in my bedroom and use the screen as a computer monitor as well as a tv. A wireless mouse and keyboard makes it possible to use the computer flat on my back with keyboard on my thighs with knees bent when I need to type.
Mild to moderate PN for 5 plus years, pain controlled by lyrica and opiates.
Nerve block (unguided) 9/10 Dr. Jerome Weiss - sciatica for 5 months but got numb in painful perineal/scrotal area - he diagnosed entrapment - but no more cortisone for me
Potter MRI 5/11 - rt STL entrapment of PN at Alcocks
Consult with Dr. Hibner Feb. 2012
Bilateral inguinal hernias diagnosed by dynamic ultrasound - surgery on 6/20/13
Feeling a little better, a few more months will tell
