Alternative SLANT on sitting

Post by peaches »

My consultant told me that the best way to sit for PN was on a wedge cushion so that your pelvis is tilted upwards. This also takes pressure off my perineum. He told me not to sit on my home made rubber ring with the back cut out which seems to be a popular choice for PNers. He recommended for me a special office chair which tips back as you lean back and forwards for support, and I also use the wedge cushion on the seat part to ensure my pelvis is tipped forwards and I’m not sitting with my back and legs at an angle of less than 90 degrees

My car seat, like most car seats, tips backwards and it’s sitting at this angle, that does me in and it stretches the nerve. I have two wedges on my car seat and recline the back of the seat back as far as I can and still control the car.

Hope this helps anyone
Cheers
