Botox for Bladder Control

Post by Karyn »

The FDA approved the use of Botox for bladder control last year. Apparently, it's injected directly into the bladder.
After reading several posts of people's experience having it injected into the pelvic floor, and the exasperated bladder symptoms they reported - I was a bit surprised by this news.
When injected into the pelvic floor; I've read reports from patients who had no bladder control what so ever, to not being able to void at all. Side effects were temporary, but took several weeks to resolve.

The side effects appear to be similar; but I'm wondering if the difference is the injection site?

What do you think?
