I have come across an amazingly effective way of stretching fascia. It even works on rock hard muscles, and it is called the CoAT method at Were you have a muscle spasm or cramp, you pinch the skin or muscle and twist. The torque stretches the fascia. You can do it yourself and inform your PT. Mine didn't know about it.
It has loosened muscles for me that were hard as bone. It does hurt some and it does take time, but the harder and more you do it, the more it releases tissue. I purchased a set of tongues to ease pressure on my thumbs.
