Does it sounds like PNE?

Post by Dutch88 »

Hello from the Netherlands,

In 2015 I had a period of severe neck complaints for which I visited a chiropractor. During that period I also started sports such as squatts and deadlifts. I got a pain in my left butt that I thought I had injured a muscle. Within a few weeks I was no longer able to sit and walk. Only laying down reduces the pain.

In recent years I have visited almost all possible specialists and tried all kinds of treatments. Without result. I visited a pelvic physiotherapist who concluded that there was a lot of tension in the pelvic floor. We have been working on this and it now seems normal. But it has not affected my pain.

My pain is around s2 / s3. When I sit (especially) I get unbearable pain at the s2 / s3 root. But I also get pain when standing, walking and having sex. The pain radiates to the groin and sometimes to the hip. It's a deep stabbing pain. But no electric shocks or needles or anything. The pain is disabling. I can almost only lie. I had a root block for s2 and s3 but it didn't help.

After five and a half years of suffering I feel hopeless. I have tried amitriptilyne 20mg but it had no effect on my pain.

Are there people with similar complaints like me? So no typical pundendus symptoms, but perhaps eventually diagnosed as pudendus?
