I was told to give up with having surgeries because I just creating more scar tissue that would create more problems later on.

Now - it's later on.

After surviving by practicing Acceptance for 12 years, financial stress has my pain back to unbearable levels.

Over the years, there was modest improvement, although I had to constantly remind myself to think back several years to help myself see that.

The best thing was - it didn't get worse. THAT was reassuring and gave me something to be grateful for!

I'm finally ready to have decompression surgery. I just have to do battle with Kaiser to get them to refer me out of network. I was surprised to read so many here got their insurance to pay for decompression surgery. It seems most insurers consider it to be experimental.

I may have to wait until January and change insurers.

I've tried finding diagnosis and treatment codes doctors and patients have used to get insurers to pay. I really need help with that. Please PM me if you know successful codes - and post here too, for others.
Left testicle pain since 2008. Left sciatica 2010-2012. Failed left epididectomy, orchiectomy, botox injections, nerve blocks and internal physical therapy. Genital branch of genitofemoral and perineal branch of pudendal nerve cut. L5-S1 microdiscectomy cured sciatica. Dorsal Root Ganglion nerve stimulator failed to help and was removed. I have had 4 pudendal nerve blocks, two from Dr. Poree worked for 2 hrs. The ONLY break from pain ever.

If you have PNE surgery, there are gliding exercises you can do post-op that may help prevent scar tissue from forming. https://www.pudendalhope.info/approved- ... gExercises
But you are right, it can be a concern so it would be something to ask the surgeon about prior to surgery.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
