Dr. Fred Howard
Gynecologic Specialties
500 Red Creek Drive, Suite 110
Rochester, NY 14623
Phone: 585-487-3420
Fax: 585-334-1264

Dr. Howard only sees patients on Wednesdays and Fridays due to his other duties. He is thoughtful and kind. I have been seeing him for over 3 years. For me I think he finds a good balance between optimism and reality.

The radiologist who does the pudendal blocks:
Dr. Per Westesson
Division of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology
University of Rochester Medical Center
601 Elmwood Avenue
Rochester, NY 14642
Phone: 585-275-1839

All the pudendal blocks are done CT- guided. Dr. Westesson has done 100's of these and it only takes about 10 minutes for him to complete a bilateral pudendal block. He is an extremely kind and compassionate physician. I have lost track how many blocks he has done on me, ie pudendal, obturator and genitofemoral.

Anyone who decides to see Dr. Howard is in excellent hands.

Thanks for the info! I've updated it on the list of doctors.
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Dr. Howard has retired and never saw male patients. As far as I know Dr. Carrillo and Dr. Benjamin-Pratt who took over his pelvic pain patients don't treat men either. You might want to try Dr. Conway in New Hampshire. Dr. Dellon does surgery on men but he doesn't take insurance.
