Since most physicians cut SSL. The side effect of citing SSL is developing pelvis instability afteris surgery. Thus, for who has not decide to have surgery, pelvis instsbility is the critical point.
I would like to perform a questionare for people who have been cut their SSL during surgery.
I encourage eveyeone to answer this question because it is so important for every PNE patient

Is it necessary to have s series of blocks. Do a series of blocks can used be an treatment to prompt the recovery.
What is the exact position.
For example, my surgeon performed left, cutting SSL, but not expose falciform, and I now justvhave perineum pain. Where is the exact position for block for left side.
My right is not exposed by surgeon. EMG show a little thick SSL and I have perineum in right side. What is the exact position for right side.

I am not sure if I understand your question? Are you asking if post op blocks will help your recovery? Are you asking where the doctor should do the blocks because you are having pain in your perineum post operatively?
I am 7 months post op TG left side surgery with Dr Hibner. I had my SSL cut but not my STL. Well my STL was repaired. I had post op blocks last month. I had one perineal nerve block. So a nerve block in my left perineum area and that stopped all my pain in that area. I was having very severe nerve pain. I also had a left pudendal nerve block the same day.

I am not sure if I understand your question? Are you asking if post op blocks will help your recovery? Are you asking where the doctor should do the blocks because you are having pain in your perineum post operatively?

So a nerve block in my left perineum area and that stopped all my pain in that area. I was having very severe nerve pain. I also had a left pudendal nerve block the same day.

Last surgery did not expose my right side. My right side tends to be a little in the clam. And my right side pain focus on perneum.
According to my condition, what position should I have block for each side.
At max, how many blocks can I do.
Because my physician know how to do block, he does not experience for PNE. HEe ask me to decision the block position and times.

Did Dr. Hibner repair your SSL, you did not tend to develop pelvis instability. In addition, if Iwant to have blocks, how many times of blocks can I have.

My SS ligament was severed and my ST was repaired. I do not have any pelvic instability at all. Well maybe I do a little but I officially haven't been told I do? I do have trouble with strength on the left side compared to my right leg and I have trouble walking up stairs. So I guess I may have some issues but I am hoping these get better with time.
I am 7 months post op. Last month I went for 2 nerve blocks for severe pain. Since you are having pain in the perineum area, you may benefit from a perineal nerve block.
I had a left perineal block in the lithotomy position under a general anesthetic. You really need to have an experienced physician doing this type of block! My regular doctor who gave me my pre op blocks in my own country couldn't (and he is a very experienced pudendal nerve specialist) do this type of block. I had to fly back to Arizona to have it done by Dr Hibner. He injected me with a local anesthetic and a steroid. I no longer have that terrible "broken glass" type of pain. Dr Hibner said that pain is nerve regeneration.
I also had a left pudendal block into the rectal branch on the same day..... That block did not help me. I am still having terrible pain in that area.

My condition seems to better than you. After seven months of surgery, when I stand or lie down, most time I am not painful.
When I sit, the pain focus in perineum, both side. Sometimes I can sit one hour without cousion. For my right, I do not know whether to wait to see whether the right side preneum can be cured, or to have the secondary surgery.
Really, if I decide to have surgery for the right side, 2015 spring is a good time for me.
My physician in my country seems to know how to perform blocks in the preneum. Actually, before surgery, my country had performed blocks in my preneum.
