Will do. On Friday I had a pre consultation with the specialist. They did pain evaluation, and a bunch of pulse zapping in my head and took some measurements. Not uncomfortable at all. I have my first session tomorrow. There will be 10 total, aprox 1 hour in duration. They will start the stimulation via transcraneal. Its not totally clear to me why that way instead of locally near the sacral roots, such as in the article. The Doc told me that with the new units such as the one they have, they know what areas to stimulate at the brain, which correspond to motor and sensor impulses down there. Whatever, they're the experts
I'm nervous and literally counting the hours....

Good luck, Bikelover, and thanks for sharing your experience. I am thinking about trying this too.
PN started 2004 from fall. Surgery with Filler Nov. 2006, Dr. Campbell April 2007. Pain decreased by 85% in 2008 (rectal and sitting pain resolved completely), pain returned in 12/13. Pain reduced significantly beginning around 11/23.

Hey buddy,.don't know exactly what you're reading, but have a look here :http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcra ... timulation
It has many uses, among them depression, treatment of neuropathic pain, fybromialgia, migraine, etc. Today was my second session of 10. Nothing to report. It will be five sessions and if there's no change, they will stimulate another area. Will write more about the specifics of the treatment in a couple of hours...

The treatment is very simple. I was nervous at first, cause I know this is similar to electroshock therapy, so I have to admit I was picturing myself convulsing and babbling with slime all over haha  ...no offense to patients that have undergone that of course  ... They basically put you a little hat thing that helps them place the magnet over your head. An assistant places the magnet and holds it in place. Then you feel about 15 zaps in your head, nothing painfull or uncomfortable by any means. Then a halt off 30 seconds or so, then another cycle of zaps, and it goes like that for 15 minutes. Afterwards you get some minutes of rest, then another 15 minutes of the same cycle. There's nothing more to it. I've been watching Breaking Bad on Netflix during the session, its a very good series btw... The first day, I had some soreness in my head, similar when you accidentally hit your head against the kitchen counter or whatever. Nothing else, and that was just the first day.
Today is my fourth session. I'm keeping my thoughts on relief for the time being as I don't want anybody getting their hopes high or loosing it altogether.
Will keep you posted...

Hey Bikelover,

Wishing you luck with this therapy. Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress because really that's how we survive around here -- learning what works for other people.

Take care,

Violet
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I saw the show and was duped into buying this worthless device. My doctor told me to write Dr. Oz and ask him to refund me for giving out bad advice.

May work for someone else.
