Bartholin surgeries, childhood trauma, vaginismus

Post by mary jane »

I finally added 1+1 in my case, and I know what has lead to my current problem.
I fell from a seesaw when I was 5 and I remember a lot of bleeding from my private parts :(
Fast forward to my teens, tampons didn't even make it past 1 cm inside (vaginismus).
7 attempts to lose virginity.
Yeast infections galore led to vestibulitis symptoms (painful intercourse upon entry, stinging)
4 bartholin abcesses, lanced and drained (same spot= scar tissue)
final trigger: small infection of the bartholin gland while on borth control (yasmin). antibiotics were used too late.

Suffering from depression my entire life also lead to sensitivity to pain.

sorry if it's TMI.
But a lot of other women get pudendal neuralgia from excising the stupid bartholin gland. I am just an atypical case.
tiny bartholin infection triggered vulvar nerve pain.
Diagnosed vulvodynia Sept '13 (no burning but electric shocks, paresthesia, aching, buzzing)
Feb 14- Taking 50 mg Ami/Elavil
May 14-pain free with 50 mg Amitriptyline and 300 mg Pregabalin. Back to normal
Dec 15- weaned off all medication, pain free, wearing skinny jeans
April 17- pain returned, Amitriptyline 50 mg. Something doesn't make sense in my diagnosis.
Currently treating depression and anxiety
