Your article seems to imply that Pregabalin (lyrica) is completely useless. It makes you wonder about the efficacy of Pregabalin. Is it linked to the Scott Reuben massive academic misconduct in the testing of that drug?

Hi Marc, actually the fact that pregabalin was not effective in this study shed some doubt on the results.

I need to mention there is vast evidence supporting the efficacy of pregabalin, enough, in fact for an FDA approved claim.

There is no suggestion of academic dishonesty in this article.

If mirogabalin sounds vaguely familiar it should. Daiichi Sankyo believes mirogabalin is a significant upgrade of pregabalin, e.g. Lyrica. Both drugs bind to calcium channels that have been implicated in the production of neuropathic pain.

I think mirogabalin is definitely a promising medication. It is a potential therapy to be added to our armamentarium for a very serious and disabling complication, painful diabetic sensory polyneuropathy," he told Medscape Medical News.
