Clear passage in Gainesville Fl

Has anyone been to Clear Passage? I hear they have cured people who hand been in pain for 20 years.

I looked into this last year and spoke with one of the owners. Honestly, it sounds like very aggressive PT that is pre-paid and not covered by insurance. They want you to buy 20 hours (about $5200, if I remember correctly) and then do the hours over one week (5 days) 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon each day. They really push you the buy the 20 hours. After I was hesitant, they offered 10 hours for half the price. I guess the question is, can PT can really break up scar tissue (adhesions is the word they like to use), especially if if that tissue is deep in the pelvis? You can also Google their reviews of Clear Passages for pelvic pain.

I've heard similar things from someone else, Stephanie. They checked into it and it was very expensive and not covered by insurance.

I live in the Gainesville area. I developed PN while undergoing Pelvic PT at the University of Florida in2012 for coccyx pain. Continued PT there made me worse so I sought out Clear Passage. Kim was my primary therapist there. They do not specialize in treating PN but we're able to help me. After about 6 months of sessions (1-2 hours per week) plus starting on neuropathic meds, I went into remission. My PN pain was gone and I was able to come off the meds. I still had adhesions in the area of the pudendal nerve, though, that Kim was not able to address. Additionally, I had SI joint instability that neither University of Florida PT or Clear Passage was able to address.
My PN back a year later when a PT at UF did an "adjustment" on my upper back. I went back to Clear Passage for 6 months but did not get better. Long story short, I sought out an orthopedic PT in Fort Lauderdale,FL who is a protege of Dr. Guy Voyer (France) to address my SI joint issues and got about 80-90% decrease in PN pain after 2 months. Then sought out Pelvic PT Tracy Sher of Orlando, FL to address my PN related adhesions that Clear Passage could not address and concurrently started on medication prescribed by PN specialist Marie Lamvu, MD of Orlando. I have been without PN pain and any type of pelvic pain or SI joint issues for a year now and have been tapering off meds since earlier this year.
My point is Clear Passage is amazing but doesn't specialize in PN. If you are going to take time and money to travel for help, I think they could help you to some extent but don't have the range of skills that treating PN may require. I could not sit for more than 15 minutes at a time for a very long time, so starting locally with them was my best option.

I just want to add that Clear Passage was covered by my health insurance - Florida Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Clear Passage does provide you with the statements to submit yourself. They are a small clinic and that is not uncommon for small PT clinics. They charge the exact same rates that I was paying at the University of Florida PT clinic as well as the private Ortho PT clinic I go to in South Florida. They do not require that people book for a certain amount of visits. Unlike University of Florida, they planned my visits based on how much I needed and how I responded to treatment, whereas UF was very strict with what they allowed despite my insurance allowing more.
The owners and staff at Clear Passage are absolutely wonderful. I cannot say anything bad at all about them, but they do not specialize in PN, nor do they claim to. If coming to FL to see a PT who specializes in PN is an option, I recommend Tracy Sher at Sher Pelvic Health and Healing in Winter Park, FL. She sees patients from all over the world - both those who don't need surgery and those who have had PN surgery.

Are you saying stabilizing your SI joint, helped with PN? If so, what did they do?
Stacy Sher, I am reading so much about her. What was more unique in way she helped you ?
