I am 57 y/o male and when its 24 y/o after cycling I felt numbess of my penis and scrotum areas.
so i developed a ED.
I remember I had an erection but it was deflating rapidly.
No viagra ,no cialis existed until i was 35.
With viagra i could have sex only once.
I recently underwent shockwave in Canada with the medispec device and i am going for 5 more shots next month.
I am also applying tens unit to estimate the nerve and i was considering to buy the micropulse ices or a cheap pemf device and also may be EECP treatments.
mri test found a pituitary disfunction and since i am talking clomiphene citrate 25mg daily my T went up to 600.
i went to a hipnotherapist,acupuncturist,and psychologist.
None of them could help me and including the last urologist who said that sometimes there is no cure.
the Doppler done several years ago said that apparently my arterial circulation is in normal limits.
i never had pain but i though that the nerve could be affected.
how could inknow if my pudendal nerve was affected (Emg test?)
So if you have any thoughts or experience with PEMF i will really appreciate it.
I hope somebody answers because in the other forums nobody cares.
Thank you!

The EMG test gave me some valuable information but I don't know if it would tell you anything about your condition or not. Pudendal neuropathy is diagnosed partly based on whether the area that the pudendal innervates is affected.

How long has it been since you quit cycling? Peripheral nerves can heal to some extent -- at least that has been my experience -- but I can't say if any of these treatments you are trying will help. It seems worth a try though.
I haven't had any experience with PEMF so I can't answer your question about that. Good luck with it.

Thank you!
I stop long distance cycling about 25 years ago.
I continue cycling short distances until the present time.
I never had pain-I only had numbess during the bike rides and went away after 20 seconds.
So I had sometime of injury to nerve ,like you said is possible that healed but it is also possible that I compressed the artery located in the perineal area which sends the blood to the genitals.
When i take viagra or cialis I have good response.
I sent a message to the Doctor who is doing my shockwave to apply the treatment to the perineal area but he did not respond yet.
In the meantime i will be getting my lab results to check my spa and T levels (free and total).
In regards to the pulsed electromagnetic therapy I read a study and appears to be useful.
I was thinking to get one device like the micro pulse or other one.
I was thinking to the department of urology of the university of chicago to check the pudendal nerve.
keep in touch

Well, I hope it helps you but I am wondering about whether continuing to ride even for what you consider to be short distances is still contributing to the problem.

I would be interested to hear how the treatments go for you. It's hard to be patient while you are waiting to see if something will help.

Take care,
