Re: New Member grateful to HOPE

Hi Lernica, The Prof. was in no hurry to do the PN release operation and has recommended a second attempt at the nerve block which I will do in November. It was pretty clear he felt it was a last resort option and not something you rush into. As my pain is not very bad I am in no hurry to do the ope...

Re: New Member grateful to HOPE

Hi Don, I have been given the anti-inflammatory Celebrex as well as Panadine Forte to manage the pain. I have also been given Tofranil (anti-depresent) but I haven't tried that yet. At best the pain is reduced, but by far the best way to keep the pain down is to sit as little as possible during the ...

Re: New Member grateful to HOPE

Hi Cari, thanks for well wishes. I am seeing Dr Vancaillie this Thursday to discuss next option which will be an operation I suspect. A bit to think about with that option. Hi Shawn, Thanks for the reply. Not sure I will be much help as I certainly don't know the anatomy of the pudendal area as well...

Re: New Member grateful to HOPE

Hi Lernica, It is amazing how the pain can move around. I aways get pain in the back of my left leg when I sit as well as all the usual PN areas. Most people say a toilet seat is comfortable but not for me the pressure on the back of my left leg causes me pain. On some days the pain is in my calf, i...

Re: New Member grateful to HOPE

Hi Violet, TrP1 on the first page you recommended (http://www.triggerpoints.net/triggerpoints/piriformis.htm) shows the right spot. Hi Catherine, Thanks for the PT contact, I will try that and hopefully she knows someone in Melbourne who can help me. Really appreciate all the help. I will keep you a...

Re: New Member grateful to HOPE

Thanks for the leg pain information and the warm welcome. I certainly will post my progress on this site, after 2.5 years of not talking to anyone who understood my problem it is very therapeutic to write about it, get support and read about others peoples stories.

New Member grateful to HOPE

I sent my first post on the Pudendal.info site a couple of weeks ago but I don't know where that has gone so I thought I will start again. I have been in pain for nearly 2 and 1/2 years now thanks to the HOPE site I am getting closer to a diagnoses. In the last 2.5 years I have been to 4 specialists...
