Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Well remembered Calluna, I am in Suffolk.

I'll ask my GP about referring me, as soon as I can get an appointment with them.
Do you think contacting the consultants directly first, would be a good idea.

I will keep in touch, with any news, as and when I get it.

Thanks for your support :)

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hi Calluna,

Thanks for the advice, and I will certainly see my GP about referring me to one of the PN consultants, would you recommend anyone in particular?

I'll definitely stay in touch.

It is so good to know now that I'm not alone.

Thank you so much for your support.

Karen :)

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hi Calluna, Thank you for your message, it's really appreciated, as sometimes, it feels so lonely, because no-one can understand what it's like. I haven't had a referral to one of the PN doctors yet, as my doctors don't seem to bother, but, I was going to have a chat with my gynaecologist to see if ...

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hi all, This is the first chance I have had to post on here for a while, and a lot has happened. I have had lots of appointments to see various consultants, but am still no further on in finding out why I am numb, but it has been confirmed that I am suffering from Pudendal Neuropathy, and that it ca...

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hi everyone, Just dropping by for some help and advice, I have had some more consultant appointments and I have more or less been told that I have Pudendal Neuropathy, and when I asked about treatment to correct it, I was told that I would basically have to live with it because they weren't able to ...

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hi All, Just thought I would drop by to update you with the latest, after having several consultants appointments and going through loads of tests, I am not really sure that I am any further forward in finding out why I have no sensation in the pelvic floor area, still not knowing when I need to emp...

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hi everyone, Just a quick update, my appointment tomorrow has been cancelled, and rescheduled for next Friday. I also have an appointment with a urogynaecologist at the end of August, and I've found out that it's a woman doctor, they seem pretty rare. I will keep you updated once I've had the appoin...

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Thanks, Calluna, I hope so too, I will ask my GP about referring me to one of these doctors, and will let you know how the GP appointment goes. I hope your surgery goes well too. No, I am not in any pain at all, in fact I don't feel any discomfort or pain, even when I have a smear or an internal exa...

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hello Calluna, I'm in Suffolk. Funnily enough, you talking about referral letters, I received a letter from the hospital about the 'bowel training' today and phoned them to make an appointment for next week. I hope that appointment goes as well as yours did, and that I get as much help, support and ...

Re: Could a TVT cause Pudendal damage

Hi, Thank you for all of your support and comments, I will look up the list of doctors. No, I didn't have an hysterectomy at the same time as the TVT. I am very new to this, what is PT? I'm not too familiar with the abbreviations yet. I live in the UK, and I am glad that I have finally found a websi...
