Hi Alex,
I hope that you are feeling better now, however, have you been worked up for MS? I have MS and many of the symptoms you describe are similar to what I have experienced. Just something for you to run by a neurologist.
I am so sorry for what you were going through.

Re: Buzzing Sensation
Hi Jackie,
If you have not already done so, you should see a neurologist and make sure that you do not have MS. MS can cause the buzzing sensations that you describe, as well as pelvice pain. Just a thought...
Wishing you less pain hour by hour.

Re: multiple slcerosis and PNS
Yes, I have MS as well. It is hard to figure out what to blame for what here. Most of my doctors don't think it is my MS causing my PN symptoms, but I'm just not sure at this point.

Re: Withdrawal or gastrointestinal?
Hi Lernica, This really may have nothing to do at all with the opiates. It just doesn't seem to fit for that. It may be that you need to have some stool cultures done to see if there is an infectious cause to your nausea and diarrhea. It really might be worth seeing your family doc and not waiting t...

Re: Clonidine for pain
Hi Cora,
I'm glad that you are finding additional relief from your pain with the clonidine. Are you using tablets or the patch? And what dose are you on?
Thanks for any information you can provide.
Best wishes for your continued taper off the meds.

Re: Looking for Help
Hi Jami, I sent this as a PM last night but I'm not absolutely sure you received it so I decided to just post it as I don't think it contains anything too controversial. Sometimes members say they have a problem with sending or receiving PMs, so just in case... I like all the others that have writte...

Re: Finding the right Dr. for possible surgery
Don, I apologize for the slow response to your questions. Although I'm happy to be reducing my dose on the fentanyl patches that I have been using, I have found the tapering process to be a bit unpleasant! Feeling more myself now--at least until the next dose reduction...ugh. How long did your surge...

Re: Numbness from waist down help please
Hi Miffy, First if all, you are certainly not a hypochondriac! I am glad that you are getting all your medical records. i think you should go through everything and make a list of your symptoms and when they occurred. The more you tell me about what you have been experiencing, I must say, the more i...

Re: Finding the right Dr. for possible surgery
I had pudendal nerve surgery with Dr. Dellon on May 18th and I'm waiting to hear about how much my insurance is going to pay. So far they have payed the whole anesthesia charge! They will most likely pay most of the outpatient site facility charges as well. I doubt that they will pay the full amount...
