lidocaine patches

I have found Lidoderm patches (5% lidocaine) to be very helpful in relieving my sacrum nerve pain. (They were designed for relief from nerve pain associated with shingles.) Unfortunately they are not available in Canada as they have not been approved for sale here by our regulatory authorities. I do have a precription for them, but my doctor is only qualified to practice in Canada. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could get a box of lidocaine patches (60 or so) up here? Thanks.
Athlete until pain started in 2001. Diagnosed with PN in Nov. 2010. It might be worth a try to call a pharmacy here in the states and see if they will fill it. I have a pharmacy in Boulder who compounds my suppositories and they Fed Ex them to me.

You might want to see if you can get Lidocaine ointment 5%. I use the lidocaine patches but recently Dr. Howard wanted me to try the ointment and it works even better. Hopefully, you can get the ointment instead as it is ALOT cheaper than the patches.

A U.S. pharmacy can't ship drugs to Canada that have not been approved for sale here. Our regulators have not yet deemed the patches safe.

NYT, I have the ointment but I prefer the patches as they emit the drug all day long instead of having to reapply the ointment several times a day.

Don't have any suggestions for you unfortunately, but I am glad the lidocain patches help you. I've tried them but they do nothing for my sacral pain :(
-11/08 vulvodynia began around conception of first & only pregnancy
-3/10 sacral/sitting pain began after SIJD manipulation
-Progressive widespread pain- central sensitization
-PT, meds, injections, botox, ESWT = debilitated.
-5/12 Potter MRI - scarring of left ST, coccygeous & posterior alcock
-12/12 - left FAI/labral hip tear surgery
2014-2019 managed w/ gabapentin, massage, and lifestyle mod
2020 - big flare up
