colonoscopy

Post by merinhza »

Is it normal to have bruises on your abdomen after a colonoscopy? I had a colonoscopy on Tuesday and had horrible pain ever since, but I woke up this morning and noticed that I now have bruises on my abdomen. What the heck?! Is this normal??

What type of pain have you had since the colonoscopy? It's possible to have serious complications after a colonoscopy and you should see your physician if you are in a lot of pain. Haven't heard of external bruising before from this procedure -- are you on any type of blood thinner and if so, did you stop taking it before the procedure?
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
