has anyone used this kind of seat?

I just got it on Friday 4/20 - set it up and sat in it for a few hours toward the end of the day

My initial thought: design is perfect - really alleviates pressure down there but the seat padding is a bit stiff for my bones
Gonna bring a cushion on Monday and see how it feels with a bit of padding

I'm using swimming noodles, but they wear out fast.
I could use this chair at work.
But, the question is, does it really work for PNE.

My pain was sacrum , pudendal , perineum, cocycx, and genitals. I would also get alot of burning on my buttocks , back of upper thighs -IE where you sit !
and upper inner thighs IE S2,/3/4 dermatodes ? if you look at the map- I had burning in all those areas , as well as rectal spasms.
I got PN from 4 large bilateral tarlov cysts .

I also started, after I was able to sit longer over 30 mins ( about 2 1/2 yrs postop tarlov Cyst Surgery ) to go numb -
quite quickly , when I sat on the floor- Crosslegged which was my most comfortable position . But otherwise , sitting was still a trigger for pain for me , even though the surgery fixed the most severe pains I had. And sitting was what I needed to do , do get on with my life and back to work .

I of course have a billion different cushions I tried- Another post would be needed to explain how I found the best one for me.
But with chairs - as we know even the best cushion desnt work - unless the chair itself is perfectly flat - Not many are.

I bought the kneeeling chair - and did a cut out at the back- tailbone area - and added cushion as it bottoms out quickly - kind of worked but only for very short sits
Then I got the Hara Chair - it was okay - ( my husband loves it- but again only worked for short periods as the gap wasnt wide enough - there was still too much pressure on my tender - easily irritated areas . See above .

these chairs are fantastic-  I just got Mine. I knew about them months ago and contacted the owner Dan Carmichael as soon as learned of them .
It has taken awhile to get mine, not because of him, but because I had my state Dept of Rehab buy mine, as part of my reasonable accommadation package for getting back to work .

Dan Carmichael , The owner of the company is great , He is a wealth of knowledge and can steer you to the chair best suited to your needs. He did a ton of research and had alot of imput from chiro/pt and ergonomic sitting experts to make sure that the chairs would still be the best support for lower back and hips , even though they have the center cut out to eliminate any Perineal. pressure /contact .

What is amazing , is he too had pudendal and tailbone pain . Which is why he developed them. - first, drum stools ( he was a professional drummer) then the task chairs.
Out of desperation, over his own condition and a concern over supporting his own growing family .
Kind of devine intervention , if you believe in such things. He is super easy to talk to , a very humble, and compassionate man . He gets it , as he has been there.

I am thrilled with my chair . - I have the drafting task chair CT 1690 w/  foot rest . That best suits my work ( music editor) and I can easily go from sit to stand as needed with this set up, the drafting chair and a adjustable tilt drafting table .  I have the drafting table set so that all I need to do is push the chair back and i am in the standing position- Nothing needs adjusting , I can go back and forth as needed .   Anyone in the DC area that wishes to try mine , first , is welcome to contact me -

Within the month there should be one of the desk type chairs, which are lower - for a typical desk setup, at my physical therapists office near Baltimore.
The drum stools are in Sam Ash music stores.
They give you an idea , the chairs are not quite as firm as the drum stools, So don't be put off by that , if you try the drum stool first .

 All the chairs are hand made in the US and can be Customized for the client 's specific needs. 
I have a larger gap 3 1/2 inch instead of 3 ( standard) as that suits my needs and butt size LOL
It also paces my ischial tubes' squarely supported for correct ergonomic sitting.  Which , Eliminated the burning pains I was having with any extended sitting

. and as I have Tarlov cysts, So my sarcum can be a bit testy still with pressure on it -
The chair I got places no pressure on the sarcrum , the back is adjustable so I have it set to support /Contact my back above the sacrum .

I wish I had known about this chair much earlier.     I could have been back at work years earlier, after soon after my surgery , had I known of this option .

I can't recommend this chair highly enough . My husband doesnt have sitting issues but got one, to avoid sittjng issues , as his job requires alot of sitting
One of the IC network ladies - has one and I believe will also be posting a link to them on their website and making a video review of them - I will post that when it comes out.

regardless, This is a game changer esp for us pudendal pain people . and will can help our population so much.

I just happened to notice it again after 2 years,, have the same pain aching rectal pain. still .. will call the company and see if its a possible choice me for me.
I am mainly interested in chaur cushions that would help me to sit in social situtions and driving so I can get out....so not sure it this if for me or if now they may have a portable model?

Thanks so much for this post. I have had several bouts over the years with what I know suspect is pudendal neuralgia. I have a new flare up and I am new to this group I just found it. As I sit on my cushion writing this, I will definately look into your info.

Their design is really spot on - If you are at your ideal wight its really quite good . Sadly my Assets were a tad big and needed a cushion that was wider in the support area under the legs - After some experimentation- I found a used Beehive cushion and the kid of copied their ideas - Hired a professional upholstery place to cover the two cushion pieces we cut from th beehive cushion -
Used with a wider base Beehive Cut in two - https://www.caremedicalsource.com/Shop/ ... -Sensitive Covered with batting and then a suede like black material .
As you can see pricy - why I jumped at the used on I found being given away .

Hope it that this lasts longer than the cushion I have been using - Which was great for a year of real sitting then quietly died .
