Hello everyone,
I have a question, I want to know if anyone developed
coccyx pain after having pelvic pain, if so are the two conditions
related? or is it likely another condition?
i am trying to figure out how to get treatment
do i see a spine specialist for coccyx pain and then
see a pelvic speialist for pelvic pain?
if anyone has any insight on this, please let me know

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

In my travels of pain and trying to get rid of it I started with levitor ani pelvic muscle spasms and the colon rectal surgeon fixed that with botox but I still had pain. Since he knew I was seeing a physiatrist that monitors my pain meds for my chronic foot pain he suggested I ask him about the continuing pelvic pain. The physiatrist works in the spine and sports group so he went down my spine and found I had coccyx pain so he did two sets of cortisone shots and cleared that up but I still had pain so on to PT that found the PNE and sent me to surgeon for that. I am 11 months post op and pain is lowering.

2007-08 pelvic muscles spasms treated by EGS. 6/27/10 sat too long on hard chair- spasms, EGS not work Botox help, cortisone shots in coccyx help, still pain, PT found PNE & sent me to Dr Marvel nerve blocks & MRN, TG left surgery 5/9/11. I have chronic bunion pain surgery at age 21. TG gave me back enough sitting to keep my job & join in some social activities. I wish the best to everyone! 2019 luck with orthotics from pedorthist & great PT allowing me to get off oxycodone.

I actually have coccyx pain that has been diagnosed as pelvic pain. I only feel it in my tailbone area and now it is spreading to my buttocks. It hurts to sit and unfortunately, I have a desk job.

By a urologist. She did an internal exam.
