Judy,
you are on the right track for both I hope the indulgences and the stimulator with remote! The first seems in line with my psychologist asking me to journal daily 3 small good things. That lindor milk cholate covered white chocolate truffle counts for one of mine today! Reading these posts is another everyone needs to sing in the lifeboats boof and wear tiaras becauses we are beautiful despite our challenges and need to find the joy. The 18th is right around the corner so keep your spirits up. We went through 2 bottles of chocolate zinfindal wine here for the holidays ( my friend gave me one for medicinal puposes and my hubby bought another). Take care
Janet
To sit or stand?
Re: To sit or stand?
2007-08 pelvic muscles spasms treated by EGS. 6/27/10 sat too long on hard chair- spasms, EGS not work Botox help, cortisone shots in coccyx help, still pain, PT found PNE & sent me to Dr Marvel nerve blocks & MRN, TG left surgery 5/9/11. I have chronic bunion pain surgery at age 21. TG gave me back enough sitting to keep my job & join in some social activities. I wish the best to everyone! 2019 luck with orthotics from pedorthist & great PT allowing me to get off oxycodone.

You have just reminded me that I have two bottles of chocolate wine Janet. How on earth could I forget. Shameful! It does sounds unbelievably bad but is delightful.
That's the only way I will ever be in charge of any remote too Judy
.
Maybe we should have a virtual party and raise a glass to all. In our tiaras, boofed to the nines (you too Earl!) singing of course. All together now

Re: To sit or stand?
I'll drink to that Helen! I sipped on a liqueur glass last night, half butterscotch schnapps and half Baileys. Pour Baileys over a tea spoon slowly to get the layered effect. It's supposed to be taken in a shot glass in one gulp but not for me, it's too delicious and so best sipped! And for the boofy hair, just wanted to tell everyone that I Googled for 'mobile hairdressers' and had one visit my home yesterday for cut and colour. I could sit any way I wished and when waiting for the colour to take, I reclined with a cup of tea on my lounge. I had my hair washed over the laundry sink but the hairdresser said I could hop in the shower if it was too difficult and shampoo myself. She cuts both men's and women's. her prices were reasonable plus $20 home visit. In all it cost 50 cents cheaper than my usual hairdresser. I was so anxious about going to my hairdresser as its such an ordeal that I was thrilled with the discovery and am very happy with the result. I also read a 'lifestyle post' in this forum and ordered by Internet soft leggings in various colours ($15 a pair, so cheap) and tops to match. They've been delivered and I'm comfortable and much happier. My hubby and I put together a cushion of sorts which works and I sit for meals now which makes me feel more normal. All being well, I should have surgery within next 6 weeks so will keep everyone updated about the process for me. See technician next Friday for info about neuro transmitter and psychologist the following week. After that not too sure but assume final meet with specialist and then book for surgery but will update as I know. In the meantime, I have boofy blonde hair ala home visit hairdresser, (am looking for a tiara!), soft comfy attractive clothes and yummy alcoholic beverages at night. I also order my fruit and veg, supermarket and meat all by Internet for home delivery. Thank heavens for the Internet!
Bladder prolapse surgery 1992; hysterectomy & 2nd prolapse surgery next 6 years. PN started 1992 but managed well. Flare in March 2012 ignored signs from prolonged sitting & exacerbated by UTI. PT so far unsuccessful. Two bilateral blocks only right side positive for short time MRI showed PNE left side. Results conflicting so proposed nerve stimulater implant with bilateral PN release to cover all scenarios. Might go ahead approx Feb 2013 Housebound..300mg Lyrica x 2 daily &5mg Endep
Re: To sit or stand?
How wonderful. You seem to be doing just grand even without the tiara. The home hairdressing is a great plus. I had to give up the coloring and sttle with the grey, it took awhile to get use to it but I could not figure out a way to get it done without pain, even showering did not work because I would have to stay bent over to try and see (coke bottle eyeglasses-I am so blind) to see when the color was rinsed! I might have to look into the butterscotch scnapps and baileys, never heard of that combo. Maybe it would knock me out as it is almost midnight and I have been trying to sleep for 3 hours so I can go to work tomorrow. Maybe after I read the other new posts I can try to get asleep.

Judy, how did your appointment for the neurostimulator go?
Thanks for the reminder to think on the positive side of things. I was just thinking a few minutes ago how incredibly blessed I am to have gone through the entire day without having thought of PN pain all day. I wish the same for everyone on this forum.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I have every confidence that it will happen.
