thanks, as i said in my original post, my symptoms are very mild, more of a nuisance if anything. they are more pronounced usually after sitting for awhile.

my symptoms are pain and burning in the groin area, and a warm sensation in my butt area. im 50 years old and have been going to a urologist for years thinking this was some type of prostate issue, but never had any infection iidentified nor is my prostate enlarged.

sex really aggravates it, i have pain and burning sensations all around my groin area for days after vigorous sex. i've been to my primary doc several times over the years thinking i had herpes because of the burn but have always came back negative on std testing.

i dont know if this is what i have, but after reading more on this condition, this sounds much more logical than the chronic non bacterial prostititis diagnosis that my urologist has given me over the years.

Hi Danny,
Check the Nantes Criteria by Dr. Robert (link on TIPNA site, I believe) and Dr. Hibner's new paper here on Pudendal Hope. Sound familiar ? Try the IC cushions, they help. Pain after sex, I hear you. I got away with sex for a few years with pain pills (better than no sex at all) but lately not so much. I am a a 60 year old male. Some people get better quality of life with medications (Neurontin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, Valium, Nortriptylene). You just have to see what works for you. You have to educate your doctor. Good luck. Find something good about every day.
Mild to moderate PN for 5 plus years, pain controlled by lyrica and opiates.
Nerve block (unguided) 9/10 Dr. Jerome Weiss - sciatica for 5 months but got numb in painful perineal/scrotal area - he diagnosed entrapment - but no more cortisone for me
Potter MRI 5/11 - rt STL entrapment of PN at Alcocks
Consult with Dr. Hibner Feb. 2012
Bilateral inguinal hernias diagnosed by dynamic ultrasound - surgery on 6/20/13
Feeling a little better, a few more months will tell
