Sacrum pain

Post by carmen »

Hi to all of you.
I have no idea if this is relevant to PN but I'll ask anyways.
My burning is "almost" under control with 100 -200 mgs. per day of Tramadol. All of a sudden my sacrum is in pain when sitting/riding in a car. I've noticed if the seat is "comfortable" for all, it's not for me. I drove 400 miles straight recently and no pain. Rode the last 300 and wanted to jump out the window. Is this pain just something else, like working in the garden, ect. or is this the top of the Pudendal nerve acting up?
Just wondering. Just might be old age HA HA!

Getting better does make one want to move on but I know many of you just want to know if there could be a light at the end of the tunnel. Here is a quick take on the last year of mine.
Last Feb. I felt great. Who wouldn't when on vacation not doing anything. The summer and fall wasn't bad. This past winter I had a month of hell. I was quilting a lot and thought all the bending over the machine and table was the problem. I stopped and started doing lots of cooking. Nope that didn't work either. My husband thinks it's the cold. Hope that's it ' cause I'll head to the islands for the 2015 winter. ( I wish). Since I've been able to be outside since the end of March, I've gotten rid of most of the burning. Now the back is acting up.

I think in many cases people can get better IF they do EXACTLY what they are told to do. That means, YES, staying in bed, except the hour a day for 2-3 months. I've talked to many a friend and they are up longer than that after a few weeks. I personally think that's a problem for long term wellness. I haven't kept up with all the new stuff since 2012 so there may be many new techniques and ideas but I can just tell you what worked for me.

Wishing you all a pleasant Easter

Hey Doreen, that's great that you can get out in the garden and work without too much pain. :) And driving 400 miles without pain -- I bet you never though you would do that again!

Thanks for checking back in. It's always great to hear from old friends who have moved on with their lives. ;) I think for many of us we learn how to live a fairly normal life, knowing that we just have to be careful, but at least we aren't practically bed-ridden like we used to be and we can enjoy life again.

Take care,

Violet
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
