Does anyone know of any doctors in the Nashville/Franklin area treating PNE?
After the retirement of Dr Jarnagin, he left his PNE patients with nobody to go to for treatment. His office has discontinued all PNE patients.
Very sad situation.

Re: Any PNE doctors in the Nashville area
Oh no, that is really sad!
Some of the providers in this practice treat pelvic pain. https://healthcare.ascension.org/specia ... vic-health
I wonder if they would know anything about PNE. Have you heard of any of them?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Already been to one in this group. she was very rude to me and yelled at me! All they have to offer is Botox and I have had multiple rounds of that with no improvement. The last round a year ago made me worse.

Well, that's unfortunate.

Re: Any PNE doctors in the Nashville area
I have had this pain for over six years. My gyn basically told me it was in my head and told me to talk with my pastor. At the beginning of the 4th year I was finally diagnosed with PN. I had two nerve blocks and ablations 6months apart. No change. I was sent to Franklin TN and I had 3 injections six months apart with who knows what was in it other than Botox. Absolutely no relief. I am now going to New Hampshire in 3 weeks fr entrapment surgery with Dr. Conway. I am wondering who has had to go this route and if the surgery works. I am in so much pain. I have not had a pain free day in 2.5 years. I was told it was about 80% successful. Dr. Conway said that I could only have this surgery once. I am praying I don’t fall in the 20% group that is unsuccessful. If anyone has any advise for me I would appreciate all the education I can get.

I understand. I am one of his discarded PN patients. I am now scheduled in 3 weeks for surgery in New Hampshire.
Re: Any PNE doctors in the Nashville area
I have PNE surgery with Dr. Anzell and immediately became re-entrapped with scar tissue
Had to redo surgery with Dr. Hibner again re-entrapped with scar tissue
No relief from either surgery. Totally devastated. Please do all the research you possibly can.

Hi Gotgot,
Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry to hear about your pain. It sounds like you've tried just about everything else, and it didn't work. And Conway must have concluded from your history and symptoms that you were a good candidate for surgery. I had surgery (with Hibner) in 2018, and it did significantly reduce my pain. I still have flares of pain periodically, but I can manage them okay. So, I was glad that I went ahead with it. Keep us posted on your progress. It is usually a very slow healing process. I'm so sorry about the constant pain. I find that both ice and heat (heating pad on high) provide tremendous pain relief. Have you tried those?
