What have you found to help rectal pain?
Re: Rectal pain
This isn't from personal experience but I remember one woman who got relief from nitroglycerin ointment. Here's some more info about it being used for anal fissures but it might be worth trying for PN.

Another woman's husband posted on the old forum that she had a temporarily successful ganglion impar block and went on to have a phenol ganglion impar injection that was successful. But as you know, anything invasive carries some risk so you would want to ask the physician what the risks are.
I remember another guy who used to jump in for a sitz bath after BM's so maybe the alternating hot/cold sitz baths I posted about a while back would be helpful for at least some temporary pain relief. viewtopic.php?t=5267

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
