Hello! May I ask your opinions on my day 5 post pudendal nerve decompression using the laproscopic method in France? I had my left side done and woke up feeling fine. I was pretty numb and while I felt pain where the ports were for the laprascope, I didn't feel much in the pudendal canal. About day 3, I started to get random tingling and itching along the nerve which Dr Bautrant says is a good sign of nerve regeneration. On day 4 and today I have had horrible pain in what I would think is the OI and alcocks canal area. It's not nerve pain, but different and nearly unbearable. I've read so much about people feeling fine and having good flights home and I am not in that boat at all right now. The stomach port incisions are fine with no pain, just those spots. Any advice on whether this is normal? Any similar experiences?
BTW- he found severe entraptment at the ST And SS ligament as well as alcocks canal. Further, he found the pudendal artery trapped and once released doplar showed blood flow returned to normal. He said the actual damage to the nerve was minimal and he said it's a good prognosis.

I agree with Darren that it sounds pretty normal. I was actually in a lot of pain when I went home from surgery and didn't go off pain medication until about 9 months post-op, which is similar to what a lot of people experience. The recovery takes time, but I know it's hard waiting.
