Has anyone had pain relief from ketamine?
Has anyone had pain relief from ketamine?
I have occasionally seen some reference to people having ketamine suppositories and whatnot. Has anyone on here had notable pain relief from a ketamine prescription in any form?
May 2002 - developed disabling PN.
Aug 2002 - started 4 rounds of CT scan guided nerve blocks
Feb 2003 - had bilateral decompression surgery. The surgeon found a very obvious abnormal issue on the left side that was wrapped around my nerve and squeezing it flat. Slow improvement over the next 6 years.
6 years after surgery Egoscue Method helped me completely get rid of lingering symptoms.
No issues with PN for 14 years.
Nov 2023 - accident triggered disabling PN again

I'm so glad it brought you some relief! How was the medicine administered 24/7? Orally? An implanted device? Something else? And did insurance cover it?
Thanks,
Bart

Thank you so much for that information. I'm not sure if that type of 24/7 treatment even exists here in the USA, will need to do some research on this.
As for DRG, I did do a DRG trial earlier this year and sadly it did absolutely nothing to help my pelvic floor pain. What it did do during the week of the trial was caused really severe pain at the implant site that was even worse than the PN during the trial. Based on my experience I do not think DRG is a viable option. All it did was put me through a week of even more misery than my usual pain.
