Anyone have suggestion for legal help if you got pudendal neuralgia as a complication?

Post by Unknownsufferer »

Hi,

Not transvaginal mesh but unfortunately pudendal nerve was affected due to provider error. While doing PT, nerve blocks, botox and injections unable to release pudendal nerve. I was suggested to find an attorney since I'm having to self pay for PT due to the providers error. Didn't have pudendal nerve issues prior to the procedure. All I've found is transvaginal mesh related when I search pudendal nerve attorney. Anyone have any suggestions? If this isn't allowed to be asked I understand I'll swiftly remove it. I'm in NY for reference.

I'm sorry this has happened to you. You are allowed to ask the question but I'm afraid I don't have any experience or knowledge of attorneys for what you are describing. You could try the New York State Bar Association or the New York City Bar Association for a referral.

Do you know exactly what the error was by the provider? My guess is that you would have to prove negligence on the part of the physician which might be difficult, especially if you signed a pre-procedure form informing you of the risks involved. If they performed the procedure according to protocol it might be pretty hard to prove that they were negligent. Unfortunately, this puts you in a difficult position. I wish you the best as you deal with pudendal neuralgia. It's not something I would wish on anyone.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
