Thanks, it's been a hell of a journey to get to even this point.

Anterior laparoscopic surgery, so hopefully the recovery will be a bit less horrific than the TG approach.

Then there is a paper which I have seen you link to before for the review of surgical outcomes versus approach, which I think shows the direction of travel that it is heading given their findings. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cont.2023.100929

Was verbally told about Nantes so I don't have a literature source as such I'm afraid and I am getting the impression that less rather than more surgeons are doing the surgery in general but that might not be founded mind. I think some are preferring the quicker recovery time with the laparoscopic approach.

I think ultimately there is still going to different opinions between surgeons and until the surgery is done more often and someone undertakes some RCT's, this will still be the case. Perhaps they need to invent some better diagnostics and whether that could eventually guide the best surgical approach.
