Hello everyone; I hope you are always healthy and happy.
I am a 24-year-old woman—an only child with a talent for painting. When I was three, my father abandoned my mother and me; consequently, I grew up in poverty and loneliness. These circumstances led me to take up cycling at one point in my life, but shortly thereafter—in my late teens—I suffered severe damage to my pudendal nerve. Conservative treatments in my country not only failed to help, but the severe pain led doctors to administer corticosteroid injections, which caused AVN (avascular necrosis) in the head of my left femur—a condition involving the deterioration of the bone head that requires the insertion of metal hardware. I once possessed many capabilities, but life did not grant me many opportunities.Since I cannot afford pudendal surgery, I have been bedridden for six years, suffering pain day and night. I rely on several medications just to eat and breathe; I know that if I stop taking them, something terrible will happen to me.

I am very sorry to hear your heartbreaking story and suffering.
I don't know where you are based but have you shopped around for surgery? Prices in Europe are cheaper than the USA.

What medications help you?

Hi Soniya,
It sounds like you have had a very difficult life. I'm sorry to hear you have been through so much.
Do you feel like you are bedridden because of the AVN in your femur or because of pudendal neuralgia? Are any pudendal specialist surgeons recommending that you have pudendal nerve decompression surgery? It's really important to have the proper diagnosis before having PN surgery and part of that includes diagnostic pudendal nerve blocks that indicate your pudendal nerve is what is causing the pain. Have you been able to get pudendal nerve blocks in your country? You don't have to answer these questions on the forum if you prefer not to, but I am just asking them for your consideration. Eraser has made a good point that PNE surgery is cheaper in Europe than in the US.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
