I ended up not doing the dorsal block. The physician started with the block at my coccyx. At that time the surgeon noticed that my coccyx looked "abnormal". Meaning it is bent at a 90* angle....I saw the pics. I opted to not do the dorsal injection after this was discovered. I'm working on scheduling an appointment with a spine specialist.

Richard, you might want to talk with a member of the forum named GregT before making any decisions on coccyx surgery. Not sure what your surgeon will recommend but Greg posted that he did not have good results from coccyx removal.

Good luck,

Violet
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
