I sometimes flavour the water very very dilutely with my favourite cordial - water is pretty boring - don't let the pain deprive you completely of something that you like. I also have hot water with a little milk and a splash of tea so i can tell myself it is like the cup of tea i used to enjoy - silly stuff but it helps me mentally.
