Fill an ultrasound cover (mine are non-latex) and fill 3/4 with water and 1/4 with rubbing alcohol. Place in freezer. This will become gel and can be placed internally or just snugged up on the vagina inside your underwear. You may all know about this, but I found out today and am so happy.

i tried to put ice in there once and it hurt too much to continue. is it hard to handle at first, or are you just more of a trooper than me! you sound like one tough cookie!
does the alcohol make the ice less cold than pure ice? or perhaps the cover? if it works, I wanna try it! glad it's helping you!

It's the cover docs. put over the internal ultrasound machine. Ultrasounds can be taken internally or externally. Internal ultrasound covers resemble condoms.
I get them from my PT, but OBs have them also.
Hope that is more clear.

Hi to all;
My pt gave me the receipe a while back, using a condom. Well, I don't know the secret to the procedure but I sure as **** couldn't get it to work. My husband and I ended up laughing until our bellies hurt. My pt said I probably had to much alcohol in it and therefore making it floppy.
I use the ice packs that are sent to me with my compunded medicine. They are called Uline cold packs. They are about 3-4 inches long. I fold them in half and they fit perfectly in my undies without showing a bulge, especially if I'm wearing a bathing suit or pants. I'm pretty sure Uline has a catalog that you can buy them from.

Good advice Doreen,
i have a box of frozen balloons in my freezer now...strange to the bystander but when Ive had a really lousy day they are a Godsend....they certainly hit the spot..I lube them first then insert them. For the rest of the time I use frozen drinks bottles my preference is for a 250ml coke bottle...I call it my Mr Coke....it is my lifeline and is with me almost 24/7.

I can't put any ice inside me... it burns to much. even externally close to the alcock's canal sometimes flares me up... but I still ice externally for the most part it is helpful.
I am amazed that you guys are able to handle this.

I should have mentioned that I wrap my frozen ice bottle in a soft cloth and then use it on the perineum area.
