Hi My fellow friends

I ended up in hospital tonight thinking I had a right ovarian cyst to be told that it is most likely a trapped nerve in the pubic bone. I've had bilateral surgery done via tir approach nearly 2 yrs ago n remember first presently with thus painover my right ovary.
I have to wait till mon to get hold of my specialist to get more help as they sent me home v hospital with a script n said they could not help but if I'm still I. Pain to go back to hospital.'

Just to let you know that I also have what feels like ovarian pain (on the left side), very acute and burning at times, even though I don't even have any ovaries left (I had a hysterectomy). I truly believe that it is a pelvic nerve. So I would continue with your current treatment plan for nerve pain. That is what I'm doing, anyway.

Hope the pain resolves soon. My pain definitely comes and goes. I do the usual treatment with sitz baths and ice.

How confident are they of the diagnostic? Did they mention the dorsal nerve? The TIR surgery would not address that area. The pubic bone is very accessible and maybe you should ask them if a diagnostic nerve block is appropriate.

If you have pain in your ovary area, it's more likely the ilioinguinal nerve or some other hypogastric nerve. I used to, and still do have pain where my ovaries were. My EMG came back with an abnormal conduction with the ilioinguinals. Do you feel pain/pressure when anything is pressing against that area? For instance, can you lean up against a counter comfortably?

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm worrying now it is def a nerve issue as this pain has reoccurred many times but not to this extent of pain. I am now prepared with ur suggestions of which nerve could be trapped. My breakthrough pain meds are helping buy not taking away the pain. My dr a couple of years ago injected cortisone into the area it took the pain Way v a few hours but kept coming bCk so I know it is a nerve trapped now.

Pls keep sending ur suggestions through as the more info I have the better
