Knee pain

Could burning knee pain around the kneecaps worse when standing be from PN? Anybody have this symptom? I have widespread myofascial pains and burning so it may just be from CNS sensitization but it's strange that it began over a year after my PN symptoms began.

Sorry to hear about this new source of pain, Faith. I do not have knee pain.

I had knee pain during my second pregnancy. After the birth I went to PT focusing on knee excercises only, and lost a lot of weight as well, and the knee pain gradually subsided. However it was during that same period that I began to develop PN. Now working in a manual therapy practice, the principle I see used is that if there is knee pain, as a general rule the cause is not found in the knee itself but below or above (below = feet, fibula, tibia / above = femur and pelvis). My pelvis did turn out to be a mess, although I did manage to stabilize the knees themselves long beofre the pelvis was corrected, due to the knee-focused PT excercises.
I am skeptical of central sensitzation as a likely explanation for widespread mysofascial pain; my misaligned pelvis caused me widespread myofascial trigger points. For me they are painless although I do have 16 of the 18 "tender points" of fibromyalgia, I am just kind of a freak that way, in having many objective findings that do not corresond with any subjective complaint. When the pelvis is misaligned, the whole body is misaligned, and I think that is at least as likely a scenario as central sensitization to explain widespread myofascial and joint pain in addition to PN.
Regardless, my knee pain did respond to some very standard PT stabilization excercises, and yours might too.
