Need doctor or therapist in Dayton, Ohio
I am searching for a physician or physical therapist in the Dayton/Cincinnati/Columbus area who can assist me in determining if I am suffering from pudendal nerve entrapment or pudendal neuralgia. I have recently been evaluated at the Cleveland Clinic where two physicians believed through physical examination, EMG, and symptomology that I do have pudendal neuralgia. Two recent nerve blocks have been unsuccesful. Currently, my local urologist is referring my case to a local neurosurgeon for further assessment. The urologist believes that out-of-state referral to another neurosurgeon for surgery is a possibility. I am in severe pain in the perineum, rectal, and buttocks areas and cannot sit without going into pain, and I also suffer from urinary urgency, frequency, and retention. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi There,
Sorry I can't help with your question (British) but just wanted to say Welcome,as saw this was your first post. I know you will get other responses and hope the info here and on the home pages will help.
Sorry to here about your pain issues, when you say that the nerve blocks were unsuccessful did they have no effect at all, even initially and were they guided?
I hope you get the answers needed
Take care,
Helen
