Just thought I would let everyone know about this, as I think it has massively contributed to the relief of my burning pain. Mctimoney chiropractic is based in the UK, but I am sure there must be something similar in other counties. The treatment lasted 25mins, whereby she realigned my spine and pelvis, which was twisted. Before this appointment I was having continuous burning deep inside, and driving to the appointment was a nightmare, but afterwards the burning had reduced and by the end of the day it was completely gone, I and now a week after the appointment still gone.

However I started taking lyrica 6 weeks ago and have worked up to 225mg daily but it just seems to much of a coincidence the way the burning stopped.

I am still having trouble with aching though, which travels down my legs, any suggestions on therapy for that?

It's good to hear that this therapy is working for you Jess. The success you have had with 'burning' is excellent. Hope it lasts and lasts
The deep ache you describe sounds like it could be sciatica, especially if it travels down the whole leg. Do you think that it is in the area of the sciatic nerve? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gray832.png
I have sciatica and have to say that mine isn't quite as central a pain as shows on the diagram, mine is more over to the outside (lateral) of my upper leg especially, although I do get some major zings etc exactly at the end of the 'common perineal' branch shown.
Sciatica could be due to other muscles responding to/with any misalignment. Of course once aligned, as long as things stay aligned, any muscle tightness, trigger point or spasm should disappear (hopefully) However, a good PN aware physiotherapist may be able to help if the chiro sessions don't involve any myofascial release or muscle targeted treatments.
The sciatic nerve obviously passes many pelvic muscles and structures as it travels thru the pelvis but one of the main places that can be problematic is at the piriformis. Sometimes the sciatic nerve can travel thru the piriformis muscle (it does with me) so those people are more prone to having sciatica. However the nerve travels so close to this muscle 'normally', that any tightness can irritate the nerve and cause pain.
Ask the chrio to check this muscle and or do some very easy piriformis stretches to see if this alleviates the problem at all. I would also add that because you have had such good results from your particular therapy that there is every reason to think that your problem is very 'fixable' with conservative treatments
