Could I have the syndrome

Post by ruben »

Hi all

This is my first post.

I'm just wondering if I might have prudential nerve syndrome.

I don't have any chronic pain. However I have a good deal of genital numbness and difficulty reaching climax. In addition I have had problems with urinary incontinence.

Any thoughts and what might a good next step be?

Hello Ruben,

Genital numbness and incontinence can be symptoms of pudendal neuralgia but those symptoms can be caused by other things too. Cauda equina syndrome is a serious problem that can cause numbness and incontinence so you want to be sure and have that ruled out right away in case it can be treated before any permanent damage is done. This is something you should go to the emergency room for, especially if your symptoms came on suddenly.

I don't know what tests and treatments you have already had or what your history is but these links will give you an idea of what to do next and what other things to have ruled out.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
