I know my first post got deleted why i dont know but this will be short
1. Stared with burning clitoris and something felt like there was something in vagina the buring clitoris and yeast like infections were the worse.. had 3 pn blocks none made me numb at all.
2. last august went to a doctor guess i cant mention names anywyas docrot knew blocks did not make me numb dr did bilateral pn blocks he said for dx puropse to see if HE can make me NUMB well NO NUMBNESS again.. also he gave me 3 huge needles in my belly he called them perphial injections i think one was in my illionial nerve anyways this doctor was treating me like i was a experiment i swear, looking back on this visit its true.. records said me and my husband watched a video on the blocks ummm no we didnt watch any video.. ok the day after i was in so much pain the burning was so bad.. so he called it a flare.. this was August.. had Mri with dr potter in NY my reuslts are under MRI on this board, i will post again though. In October i did maybe 2 PT sessions only on the outside cause the internal hurt me, so just the outside she was doing myofacial release and was stretching me from the buttocks down felt like pulling.. so painful.. yup im jumping around sorry.. so i stopped her.
3. I am left after seeing that dr. with rectum burning, cant sit, burning pain when sitting laying, vaginal burning, feels swollen down there, beofre dr had gentle sex but had pulsating feelings deep inside not sure from orgasms or pentration but could have some form of pleasure.. now no pleaseure at all.. but this burning has not gone away since these last injections.. i could sit before i could go to the bathroom before.. i was never constipated, it never burned, it never felt like this itchy all the time, or swollen cant explain.
4. My question is How could one more PN block give me so many more symptoms of PN, i never had any of these. I am on fire.
People have told me that the dr is to blame well YES HE IS.. but what happened WHY did this happen, HOW CAN IT BE FIXED. WEll it go away on its own, Why would I need surgery to fix something that a PN injection caused???
Does this make sense?????
Someone explain please
Re: Someone explain please
Hi Missing,
I'm really sorry you had such a bad experience with your last round of blocks. Pain flares are definitely not a welcome addition to existing pain. However, the flares are not uncommon, and there are a good deal of us who have experienced adverse, long term effects. Why? I have no idea. I was told by my PMD that I may experience some "highlighted" pain. Understatement of the world, but whatever!
You didn't mention if you spoke with ????? - (Are we really not allowed to mention Doctors names, now?) about your reaction. Did you? Were you able to get any kind of response? Have you ever brought this issue up with your current PMD, who does the same kind of blocks?
Maybe someone can educate me: I was under the impression the goal of the blocks is to provide pain relief to the affected area for diagnostic purposes. I didn't think it was about "numbness".
Wishing you less pain,
Karyn

What exactly were your symptoms prior to the blocks?Missingmylife42 wrote:4. My question is How could one more PN block give me so many more symptoms of PN, i never had any of these. I am on fire.
I'm not quite sure why you would blame him? I'm also not sure why you would travel cross country to get more blocks, after unsuccessful, local rounds.Missingmylife42 wrote:People have told me that the dr is to blame well YES HE IS.. but what happened WHY did this happen,
Well, it doesn't make much sense to me. I was under the impression you had extensive scar tissue encasing your PN.Missingmylife42 wrote:Why would I need surgery to fix something that a PN injection caused???

Could you please explain to us what prompted you to get nerve blocks in the first place? What were your symptoms?
