Hello, so it's been a while since I've been on here. I have PN, IC, nerve pain all in female parts, pressure on female C******* and about an inch above it, and some pgad. My pain Dr. Prescribed me methadone today but I haven't started it yet. I'm scared to. I read somewhere how it decreases the sex drive and when someone was coming off of it and they had the arousal pain disorder. I know there are some on here familar with this disorder and wonder if u know anything about this medication. I just don't want to make th3 female pain or arousal issues worse.

I've never heard of methadone causing arousal but I guess anything's possible. The problem with methadone is that it's addictive, you develop a tolerance, and it's really a temporary fix. If you are going to go the opioid route, you may want to consider suboxone because it has naloxone in it so you aren't as likely to develop an addiction or a tolerance. I know one woman who has used it successfully for PGAD for several years and it takes the symptoms of PGAD away. I have not tried it myself.

Suboxone, I have not heard of this drug. Did she have pgad only or nerve damage or anything?
