How many doctors have you been to?

I was just wondering the average number of doctors most people have been to in their serach for a PN cure. My count is 10 (including my family doctor and my OBGYN). Crazy!

I lost count... let me try to take a stab at guessing.
year one - 5
year two - 8
year three - 10
year four - 2
year five - 0 (had new baby)
year six - 5
year seven - 5
year eight - 9
so total about 44 docs for PN related issues. Wow. I want a refund.

I've had pelvic pain in some form or another since 2008. (This does not include years of IBS and menstrual cramps from endo).
5 MD's solely for pelvic pain. At least 2 others for related pains (back, hip).
After March, 4 PT's.
One acupuncturist, two massage therapists.
And a partridge in a pear tree.

This is a list of all the medical professionals I can think of I have seen over the last 3.5 years. Some physicians I have seen due to 2nd complications from my pain like my TMJ and some are for the RSD I developed in my legs. All related because I wouldn't have seen them if I hadn't developed pelvic pain. Also, I see Dr. Dellon in 3 weeks so one more to add to the list after I see him.
Urologist - 2
Pelvic Pain Specialists (Dr. Jain and Dr. Leff in NYC, Dr. Howard, Dr. Conway, Dr. Hibner) - 5
Regular Pain Specialists - 5
Anesthesiologists for nerve blocks - 3
Vascular surgeon - 1
Neurologists - 2
Podiatrist (heel pain) - 1
Medical Genetics (due to drug sensitivities) - 1
Allergist (due to drug sensitivities) - 1
ENT (TMJ due to pain I clench my jaw now) - 1
PT - 4
OT - 1
Feldenkrais PT - 1
Acupuncurist - 1
Chiropractors - 2
Massage therapist - 1

Over the past 8 years I have seen more than 24 different doctors in 5 different countries to try to get some answers and solutions to my Pudendal Pain.

It is a shame that everyone has gone to see this many doctors and I bet that almost everyone who posted here was self diagnosed as PN and not diagnosed by a doctor.
