Re: pudendal nerve block

Helen, I was able to drive and fly by myself after nerve blocks with Dr. Antolak. He does not use anesthesia but rather a local anesthetic. If you have the blocks via guided imagery through the butt there is the possibility that some of the medication can "wander" over to the sciatic nerve and there have been people who have not been able to walk for a few hours after the blocks but I didn't have this problem.

Anyway, good luck with your blocks and please let us know how it goes for you.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
