Firstly I want to say thank you to everyone who replied to my first post.
I am in no doubt whatsoever that finally my symptoms can be explained by PN.
It's vital to me that I now get the very best possible diagnosis, and here is where I am getting a little confused. Who is the
most qualified, or can offer the most thorough diagnostic process? Would it be Dr Baranowski, Dr de Mello ,or Dr Greenslade?
I live in London, but I'm more than prepared to travel absolutely anywhere to get this right. I have an appointment with my GP this coming monday morning 17th June, I will be asking/demanding a referral to a PN specialist but I'm sure my Dr won't know anything about it so I need to be as well informed as possible.

As you are in London I would say Dr Baranaski. Whilst his manner leaves a lot to be desired he does have a lot of experience.
Having started there myself I would check out what the Nantes team are reccommending in terms of number of nerve blocks. I had five this was private medicine, which if you,ve been follwing discussion on this does pose a question as to do all doctors act in the best interest of the patient.
There is some research coming fron zustralia which suggestsnerve blocks may further damage the nerve. Whilst nerve blocks are currently one of the few diagnostic tools we have,they do need to done, its the number I have an issue with Dr B. as far as I know does not work in conjuction with the french, so do be careful.
Dr Greenslade strongly believes the nerve stands the best chance of recovery if decompressed at the earliest possible time. Again if you,ve been following the website there is a patint who feelsvery strongly that the Bristol team did not do him any favours.
I,m sorry if I sound as if I,m giv8ng contradoctory messages, all I,m saying is be careful, when making big decisions.
As far as cost, if you,re funding it yourself, Dr B. Is very expensive, not sure about Dr G a good deal less, would be my guess.
Some brits have actually found the whole thing cheaper including travel to go to Nantes, at least there you,re getting the best.

Didn't realise that Dr B did go for so many blocks, although this would always be a personal choice for the well informed.
I would say 3 is enough and then only if they do have any good effect.
Dr's Beco's and Antolak say that 3 blocks properly space can cure. However, it will depend on whether actually entrapped or not.
I would still go for two I think, in case the first one wasn't targeted at the right place, if the first one didn't work at all. But that probably wouldn't happen with ultrasound guide.

Fall 2008. Misdiagnosed with lumber spine problem. MRN June 2010 indicated pudendal entrapment at Alcocks canal. Diagnosed with complex variant piriformis syndrome with sciatic, pudendal and gluteal entrapment's by Dr Filler 2010.Guided piriformis botox injection 2011 Bristol. 2013, Nerve conduction test positive; new spinal MRI scan negative, so diagnosed for the 4th time with pelvic nerve entrapment, now recognised as Sciatic, pudendal, PFCN and cluneal nerves at piriformis level.

I forgot to mention but to he best of my knowedge both Dr G and Dr B would refer you on to Nantes if you needed to go down the surgical route. If you wanted to go directly to Nantes, Judy from the british pelvic pain website is the one who has the contacts, Helen I,m sure would point you in that direction.
